Expert Witness & Technical Consulting

Independent technical opinion on electronics failures.

Aremac Labs provides expert witness services and independent technical consulting for product liability matters, insurance investigations, regulatory proceedings, and commercial disputes involving consumer electronics failures.

When an electronics failure results in a legal dispute, insurance claim, or regulatory inquiry, the quality of the technical investigation determines the outcome. Aremac Labs provides independent, evidence-based failure analysis reports and expert opinions that are written to withstand technical and legal scrutiny. Our founder, Rajasekaran Ganeshkumar Ph.D., has experience in forensic failure analysis engagements across consumer electronics and has worked with legal teams, insurers, and manufacturers across India and internationally.

What we provide

We provide written expert opinions and failure analysis reports for product liability matters, insurance subrogation claims, consumer disputes, supplier warranty negotiations, and regulatory investigations. Our reports identify root cause, assess contributing factors, and clearly distinguish between manufacturing defects, design deficiencies, and misuse or abuse. We can also provide rebuttal analysis of opposing expert reports.

Product liability matters

If your product has allegedly caused injury, fire, or property damage, an independent technical investigation is essential. We investigate the failed product, assess whether the failure mode is consistent with the alleged cause, and provide a written opinion on causation. Our reports are structured for use in court proceedings, arbitration, or settlement negotiations.

Insurance investigations

Insurers and loss adjusters engaged in electronics-related claims — including fire investigations, product recalls, and supply chain disputes — need technically credible independent opinions. We work directly with insurers, loss adjusters, and their legal counsel to provide clear, impartial analysis of the physical evidence.

Supplier disputes and warranty claims

When a component or board supplier disputes a warranty claim, a technically defensible root cause analysis is the most effective tool for resolution. We provide analysis that identifies whether a failure originated in design, manufacturing, materials, or end-use conditions — with findings supported by physical evidence rather than assertion.

Our approach to expert engagements

We maintain scientific independence in all expert engagements. Our findings are based on physical evidence and established failure analysis methodology — not on what any party to a dispute wants the answer to be. This independence is what makes our opinions credible and effective.

Common questions

Can you provide expert witness testimony in Indian courts?

Yes. We can provide written expert reports and, where required, appear as a technical expert witness in Indian civil and commercial courts, arbitration proceedings, and regulatory hearings.

How early in a legal matter should we engage you?

As early as possible. Early engagement allows us to advise on evidence preservation, conduct a thorough investigation before evidence degrades, and shape the technical framing of the case. Engaging after evidence has been lost or altered significantly limits what we can establish.

Do you take instructions from both plaintiffs and defendants?

Yes. We work for any party that requires an independent technical opinion. Our role is to provide accurate analysis of the evidence, not to advocate for a particular outcome.

Can you review and respond to another expert's report?

Yes. We provide rebuttal analysis of opposing expert reports, identifying methodological weaknesses, unsupported conclusions, or alternative interpretations of the physical evidence.

What industries and product types do you cover?

Our expertise covers consumer electronics — smartphones, laptops, wearables, tablets, IoT devices, portable batteries, displays, and accessories. We also cover EV charging equipment, industrial electronics, and medical devices where the failure mode involves electronic components or materials.

Need independent technical opinion on an electronics failure?

Send us your failure. We will tell you what actually happened.
